Desktop / Laptop Setup

Follow these steps to install and set up FullTimeTV on your Windows, Mac, or Linux computer.

Getting Started

Welcome! This tutorial will guide you through installing and activating FullTimeTV on your desktop or laptop computer. The process typically takes 3–5 minutes.

What You Need

  • Windows 10/11, macOS 10.14+, or Linux (Ubuntu 18.04+)
  • Active internet connection (10–20 Mbps recommended for HD)
  • Your FullTimeTV account credentials (email and password)
  • Modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge)

Installation Options

Option 1: Desktop Application (Recommended)

  1. Download: Visit the download link provided in your order confirmation email.
  2. Install:
    • Windows: Run the .exe installer and follow the setup wizard
    • Mac: Open the .dmg file and drag the app to your Applications folder
    • Linux: Extract the .tar.gz file and run the install script
  3. Launch: Open the FullTimeTV application from your Applications folder or Start menu.

Option 2: Web Browser

  1. Open Browser: Launch your preferred web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge).
  2. Visit Website: Go to the web app URL provided in your order email.
  3. Bookmark: Add the page to your bookmarks for easy access.

Note: The desktop application provides better performance and offline capabilities, while the web version works on any device with a browser.

Sign In & Activate

  1. Open FullTimeTV: Launch the desktop app or visit the web app.
  2. Click Sign In: On the welcome screen, click the "Sign In" button.
  3. Enter Credentials: Type in the email and password sent to you after purchase.
  4. Activate: Click "Sign In" and wait a moment for your account to activate.
  5. Start Watching: Once activated, you can browse and stream content in full HD!

Tip: Use keyboard shortcuts for better navigation. Press "?" or "F1" in the app to see available shortcuts.

Troubleshooting

Installation Issues

  • Windows: Right-click the installer and select "Run as Administrator"
  • Mac: If blocked, go to System Preferences → Security & Privacy and click "Open Anyway"
  • Linux: Ensure you have the necessary permissions: chmod +x install.sh
  • Temporarily disable antivirus software during installation

Buffering or Playback Issues

  • Check your internet speed (minimum 10 Mbps for HD)
  • Close other applications using bandwidth (downloads, video calls, etc.)
  • Try using a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi
  • Clear your browser cache if using the web version
  • Update your graphics drivers to the latest version
  • Disable browser extensions that might interfere with video playback

Activation Failed

  • Double-check your email and password for typos
  • Ensure your subscription is active
  • Check that your system clock is set correctly
  • Try logging out and logging back in
  • Clear application cache or reinstall the app

Audio/Video Sync Issues

  • Restart the application
  • Update your audio drivers
  • Try a different video quality setting
  • Disable hardware acceleration in settings if available
